TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Dear Parents and Students:
§ 1
- The classes are taught twice a week and last 60 minutes each (standard groups). This schedule does not apply to groups preparing for FCE or CAE exams, or current school year’s graduating students who follow a special programme.
- The School’s policy is to observe regular public and religious holidays, however, during the time of some religious retreats, classes shall continue as scheduled.
- The Parents/Legal Guardians are kindly requested to inform teachers or school management of their children’s planned absences (if longer than two school hours).
- The use of cellular phones is strictly prohibited during classes.
- The Parents/Legal Guardians are expected to duly follow their children’s progress in the School’s Internet Register.
- At the end of each school year, the School holds a set of compulsory internal tests. Students preparing for and taking FEC/CAE/PET/KET/YLE exams plus students graduating in the current school year are exempt from taking this test.
- Once per every semester, with prior notice, the School holds a compulsory parent-teacher meeting. All Parents/Legal Guardians are kindly requested to attend.
- In case of an absence of a teacher (e.g. due to course or conference attendance, family emergency, or other), the School shall provide a substitute teacher.
- NOTE: The number of students per each class is 6 or 7.
- The School reserves the right to maintain a fixed schedule for each school year, and shall not be held responsible for any interference/conflict with students’ extra-curricular activities.
- The School reserves the right to alter and re-organize student groups.
- The School shall be responsible for the safety and security of students EXCLUSIVELY during their presence in an appropriate classroom.
§ 2
- The School’s main objective is to prepare students for a variety of proficiency examinations conducted by the British Council (YLCE, KET, PET, FCE, CAE). Following that objective and serving that purpose the School schedules a number of additional activities:
- free Saturday classes for students planning to take the following tests: FCE, CAE-(compulsory) and for students graduating in the current school year (optional)
- The Summer School of English – a free course for students preparing for exams/tests
- English-language film marathons
- educational trips to London
- Every year (in the month of June), the School organizes scholarship competitions. Three students/winners with the best results are subsequently exempt from paying the school tuition for two semesters per standard course (one school year). Note: Only third degree junior high school students are allowed to participate.
- Every year, the School organizes educational trips to London, England (tourist trips). This offer is addressed mainly to junior high and high school students.
§ 3
